For a great weekend of fun, travel to Gayndah, the citrus capital of Queensland. Help celebrate the Gayndah Orange Festival, a tradition fifty years in the making. This is a festival for all ages with professional entertainment, market stalls, art show, multicultural food and much more.

Saturday will be the Orange Festival Gala Ball with the judging of the Festival Queen. On Friday there will be the judging of the decorated windows and oranges. Don't miss the Friday night with the wine and cheese night, Art Show and announcement of winners. Saturday will be the day with the day/night carnival in the main street, the citrus packing competition, street entertainers, market stalls, procession of decorated floats, the art show in the Town Hall, plus much more. Sunday is family fun day, with a wheelie bin challenge, entertainers, Gayndah Museum displays and the Gayndah Rodeo and Cabaret at the showgrounds.

The Gayndah Orange Festival is only held every second year.  The next festival will be held on the Queens Birthday weekend in 2009.
