In 2007, Telethon celebrates its 40th Anniversary. That's 40 years of outstanding dedication and service to Australian children.

This significant achievement will be celebrated with a 25 hour 'live' telecast on the Seven Network in Perth and throughout Western Australia on the Golden West Network on the weekend of 13th - 14th October. It will be telecast live from the heart of the city in the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre. Plans are well underway to ensure this year's Telethon Weekend is the most successful ever undertaken. We aim to raise a record $4 million for the children.

The Telethon Weekend event has grown to become one of the most significant television charity appeals in Australia and is also regarded as being among the most successful fundraising events of its type anywhere in the world.

This year's Telethon Weekend will also include several large scale fundraising events including a gala black tie event with major sponsor Lexus, The sensational Telethon Home Building Society Kids Carnival, Telethon's Beneficiaries Expo, the auction of the magnificent Telethon Home and many more events throughout the state. The Telethon weekend celebrates the dedication and commitment of thousands of people who have contributed throughout the year to help raise funds.
