Pride Parade

Pride Western Australia Inc. has existed under a number of names since 1990. Known at various times as the Pride Collective (WA) and later Lesbian and Gay Pride W.A. Inc., Pride has always fought for the visibility of gay and lesbian issues in Western Australia.

Perth's first Pride Parade was held during the day in 1990 to protest against the oppression and discrimination that continued to be felt throughout our gay and lesbian community.

Over the year's, the Parade was transformed into a spectacular display of visibility and diversity and is now held at night to mark the end of October's Pride festival.
