LALALAND Nightclub

LALALAND has become a legendary fixture on Hobart's dance music calendar, hosting monthly parties at HALO nightclub. Started in May 2000 to cater predominantly for Hobart's gay community, LALA has gone from strength to strength and now fills a niche for serious clubbers who love high energy dance music and genuinely love to party.

LALA's resident DJs play a mix of vocal pop through to hard house, with top interstate guest DJs also making regular appearances. LALALAND has one simple aim: to create a fun and carefree clubbing experience that people enjoy so much they keep coming back. So far, so good.

LALALAND is held on the first Saturday of every month at HALO Nightclub. HALO is located on Elizabeth St Mall in downtown Hobart, although the entrance is from Purdy's Mart at the rear of the building (see map below).

HALO has been recently renovated and features a main dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system and lighting, plus a separate bar and chill-out area where you can kick back. The dance floor is also surrounded with some comfy chairs in case you need to take a break, and the bar area has a separate sound system with DJs usually playing funky house.
