The theme for this year is Queer as Country Folk

After a well-earned break in 2007, ChillOut returns over the upcoming Labour Day long weekend, 7-10 March 2008. Country Victoria welcomes back ChillOut, the largest gay and lesbian festival in regional and rural Australia. A festival like no other in the world, ChillOut turns the beautiful and relaxing Central Victoria spa town of Daylesford 'Queer as Country Folk' for four fun-packed days.

Come and enjoy our unique country hospitality, with music, dancing, art and sport, parties and dinners, shows and exhibitions, dog shows and a massive tug o’war, markets, and a great line-up of entertainment throughout our festive weekend. There's something on offer to suit every taste.

Don’t miss any of the fun.  Get involved and join the drag queens and cowboys – and everyone in between – in the grand Street Parade to celebrate 'Queer as Country Folk' – welcoming you back to Daylesford and surrounding towns and villages.

More than 20,000 people joined us at our tenth anniversary in 2006 to celebrate 'A Decade of Fairy Tales' to indulge in the special pleasures of country Victoria.  It was a great weekend catching up with friends, old and new.

But we missed you this year. So, refreshed and re-energised, ChillOut is set for the next ten years and ready to welcome back the thousands who come to enjoy the relaxing country atmosphere, beautiful scenery, catching up with friends, wonderful food and drink, and the great program of entertainment we’re lining up for you throughout our four-day weekend.

Adam Sutton is Coming to Daylesford

The Australian gay cowboy whose own life story inspired Heath Ledger's performance in Brokeback Mountain is joining us at ChillOut as our invited special guest.

Adam has waived all expenses and appearance fees, asking instead that ChillOut donate an equivalent amount to the Communities Caring for Children appeal.

This important community initiative is seeking to raise funds to pay for the introduction of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation's Better Buddies anti-bullying framework into local primary schools.

Come join Adam at ChillOut in March and get ready for a dosey-doe at our first ChillOut Bush Dance
