Famous for its fiery sunsets, the Cable Beach skyline provides a breath-taking backdrop for the presentation of the 15th Annual Award Winning Opera Under The Stars® Gala. The relaxed and less formal ambience of this unique event will be perfectly complimented by the tropical beauty of the Cable Beach Amphitheatre and surrounds, with a star-filled Kimberley sky above providing the finishing touch to this truly sublime setting.

The thrilling Stars of Opera Under The Stars® 2007 are Sarah Crane (Soprano), Louise Callinan (Mezzo-Soprano), James Egglestone (Tenor), Shaun Brown (Baritone) and David McSkimming (Pianist). The musical programme will feature a hand picked selection of music from the opera repertoire including the rousing Largo al factotum from Il barbiere di Sivilgia by Rossini, the sublime duet Au fond du Temple Saint from Les Pecheur de Perles by Delibes, Highlights from Puccini's operas including the romantically stirring duet O soave fanciulla from La Boheme and the spine tingling aria Nessun dorma from Turandot, as well as the famous Brindisi from Verdi's La Traviata.

The Cable Beach Amphitheatre is situated directly in front of the Cable Beach Club Resort and is a leisurely five to ten minute stroll from other accommodation in the Cable Beach area of Broome. Bus and taxi services are available from the Chinatown and Old Broome areas.

The Cable Beach Amphitheatre is easily accessible and seating for the event is unreserved
