The 2007 Brisbane Fine Wine Festival is Queensland's premier wine event, a three day celebration featuring some of the best wines Australia has to offer. Held in the grand Chelsea Ballroom of the Mercure Hotel in the heart of the city, the Festival program will enhance the knowledge and enjoyment of all wine lovers. You will have the opportunity to taste over 600 wines, improve your wine knowledge, attend Wine and Food "Master Classes," join in "Meet the Winemaker" sessions, purchase wines at discounted prices, and win Premium Wine every hour!

In excess of 600 wines from wine regions around Australia will be represented. Visitors will be able to taste award winning boutique and internationally recognised labels, speak to winemakers, sample fine foods and enter competitions to win wine and prizes.

A particular emphasis of the Festival is to provide an opportunity to learn more about wine by talking with winemakers and attending any of the nine Wine and Food Matched Masterclasses or one of the 10 different "Meet the Winemaker" sessions.

Master Class topics typically feature a Grape Variety or varieties from different regions of different wine styles, like the pinot noirs from Victoria and Tasmania. Masterclasses are a 60 minute tutored tasting of between four and eight wines with a featured Brisbane Restaurant creating the perfect food match.

Armed with better wine knowledge and the opportunity to sample a vast array of wines, visitors will be able to order wines at the Festival at special rates. Every 12 bottle wine order automatically enters you into a draw to win a presentation pack of wine. These packs range from a two pack of Sparkling with Wine Glasses to a six pack from one for the participating Wine Companies.
