EKKA

Brisbane EKKA, also known as the Royal Queensland Show, is a 10 day festival held in Brisbane every year, beginning on the second thursday of August. It's a massive event with hundreds of pavilions featuring events as diverse and interesting as fireworks displays, belly dancing, food, art, rides, scavenger hunts, and much more.

Parking can be troublesome during the festival, so it's best to utilise public transportation. Several trains and shuttles run from Brisbane into the showgrounds and back.
