Dreaming - Australia's International Indigenous Festival

The Dreaming is Australia's international celebration of Indigenous culture. The Dreaming is a vibrantly exciting and dynamic four day festival where you can look forward to the annual ceremony and celebration which incorporates the ancient and the contemporary, the spiritual and the aesthetic. The festival celebrates Indigenous culture through showcases in ceremony, dance, music, storytelling, theatre, comedy and art - an amazing cultural heritage that dates back many millennia.

This festival embraces the lore of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as other ancient peoples from around the globe to offer a wealth of knowledge and entertainment in a spirit of peace and kinship. Held one hour's drive north of Brisbane, the festival is nestled in a hidden valley where lanterns lined streets and campfires help bring ancient cultures and voices to a new people. The Dreaming celebrates the oldest living cultures in one of the youngest countries on this planet.
