Brisbane - International Film Festival


The Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) takes place in August this year.

Each year BIFF draws film enthusiasts to view an entertaining mix of local and international films, retrospectives and colourful events that embrace the vibrant art of filmmaking.

BIFF will be held at three main venues in 2007 - The Regent, Palace Centro Cinemas and the Australian Cinémathèque, GoMA.

The Regent is located on the Queen Street Mall in the heart of Brisbane's CBD.

Transport
Located in the city, The Regent is serviced by a range of public transport options, including trains, buses and ferries/CityCat's. For more information, contact TransLink on 13 12 30.

Parking
All day parking is available for all BIFF patrons at the Myer Centre Car Park on Elizabeth Street for only $4 (from 10am. Simply show your BIFF ticket when exiting the car park to take advantage of this great offer.

Special Access
Wheelchair access is available via the Queen Street Mall. Only Cinema 1 and Cinema 2 are wheelchair accessible.

Palace Centro Cinemas is located in the heart of the 'Centro Complex', a vibrant inner-city urban renewal precinct.

Transport
The closest railway station is Brunswick Street Station (about 10-15 mins walk from the cinema). Bus # 470 from Brisbane City travels to James Street. For more information, contact TransLink on 13 12 30.

Parking
Limited car parking is available beneath the building. Street parking is limited to 2 hours Monday to Friday until 6pm daily and Saturday until midday. There are numerous four-hour meters in McLachlan, Doggett and Robertson Streets. The closest parking station is located in Ann Street, Fortitude Valley.

Special Access
Wheelchair access is available via the main entrance on James Street. Lifts are available for all cinemas.

The Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is located on the south bank of the Brisbane River. Entrance to the building is via Stanley Place, Grey Street.

Transport
If travelling by bus, alight at the Cultural Centre Busway in Melbourne Street. The nearest train station is South Brisbane Station, corner of Melbourne and Grey Streets. CityCat and City Ferry terminals are located at South Bank 1 CityCat terminal. GoMA is also only a short walk from the Central Business District across Victoria Bridge and South Bank Parklands. Parking
Paid parking is available at the Queensland Art Gallery/Queensland Museum Car Park. Enter from Grey Street or the Cultural Centre tunnel. Paid parking is also available Stanley Place Car Park. Enter from the Cultural Centre tunnel or Stanley Place. For information on parking fees, telephone (07) 3840 7103.

Special Access
GoMA wheelchair access is via the Street Level entrance on Stanley Place or via the lift from the Stanley Place Car Park.
