Mapo Korean Restaurant is situated in the heart of Gouger Street, a bustling restaurant strip opposite the Central Markets. With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic South Korean cooking, Mapo's exotic flavours combine to make a truly wonderful taste experience.

In July 2002 Chung Jae and Sam Lee established Mapo, mixing Eastern and Western culinary styles to make a unique Korean restaurant in Adelaide South Australia.

Chef Chung Jae's cooking talents are predominatly self-taught with a little additional guidence from his mother teaching him a few secret recipes gained from her experience cooking in Korean restaurants throughout Seoul.

The front of the restaurant is more formal with A La Carte menu featuring modern Korean food, fast becoming renown for elegant presentation and wonderful taste.

The rear of the restaurant being more casual and traditional, it features a charcoal BBQ buffet where you cook the meat at your table.
