Friendly Meeting Chapel

The Friendly Meeting Chapel, part of the North Adelaide Heritage Group, was built in 1879 of bluestone is situated on the high street of North Adelaide, close to cafes, restaurants and shopping. The Chapel has an opulent open plan interior with high windows, giving a sense of complete privacy, space and quiet.

The Chapel's large living space contains the dining, sitting and bedroom with the antique brass half testa queen size bed hidden by oriental screens, studded with semi precious stones. A magnificent cedar Victorian dining table, circa 1900 musical organ, opulent and decorative club lounge, cherub tour lamps, a faux marbleised deluxe two person spa bathroom and a mahogany kitchen make the Chapel a unique and very romantic destination.

Outwardly the building appears to be a chapel with the high chapel windows and steep sloping roof line. The Fire Station Inn is only down the street a few doors away.

The corner of Tynte and O'Connell Streets is a well known meeting place for people who come from all over Adelaide to dine. O'Connell Street has eighty different places to dine at.

The renowned Manse Restaurant is just opposite and only steps to the Wellington, Archer and Caledonian Hotels.
